Night at the Library: A Century of Light - Central Library (May 2)
Bob Baker Marionette Theater, Dublab DJs, Los Angeles Master Chorale and more are amongst the participants for Los Angeles Public Library’s centennial celebration, happening at DTLA’s Richard J. Riordan Central Library on Saturday, May 2. The night will also include screenprinting with Color Compton, silent films, tarot readings and much more.

Beach Life Festival - Redondo Beach (May 1 - 3)
Beach Life Festival returns to Redondo Beach for this first weekend of May with three days of fun in the sun, featuring performances from Duran Duran, Chainsmokers, Offspring, Slightly Stoopid, James Taylor, My Morning Jacket, Sheryl Crow, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals and so many more.

Very Special Arts Festival - The Music Center (May 2)
“United and Inspired” is the theme for this year’s Very Special Arts Festival, which features performances, workshops and exhibitions for student artists of all abilities and grade levels. The festival takes place in the Jerry Moss Plaza at The Music Center on Saturday, May 2, from 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Miss Rita’s Lucha VaVoom throws a Cinco de Mayo Spectacular on May 3, at The Regent. Expect lucha libre, burlesque performances and plenty of surprises in this Sunday night extravaganza. Cain Culto is the event’s musical guest.

Dodgers vs. Marlins - Dodger Stadium (April 27 - 29)
It’s Japanese Heritage Night at Dodger Stadium on Monday, April 27, when the boys in blue play the first in a three-game series against the Marlins. The series continues  with games on Tuesday, April 28, which is also Women’s Night at the stadium, and Wednesday, April 29.
