Oscar Nominee Spotlight: Animated Short Films - Academy Museum (March 7)
The Academy Museum hosts a Saturday morning screening of this year’s Oscar-nominated animated short films, with the nominated filmmakers on-hand to introduce their work before the screenings. While you’re there, check out the production materials from these films in the Sidney Poitier Grand Lobby.

The Great Wall of Los Angeles - Walt Disney Concert Hall (March 7)
Composers Juhi Bansal, Nina Shekhar, Estevan Olmos, Nicolás Lell Benavides, Xavier Muzik and Viet Cuong contribute to the hour-long symphony inspired by Judy Baca’s mural, The Great Wall of Los Angeles, which will be presented at Walt Disney Concert Hall on March 7 alongside an original film by Alejandro G. Iñárritu.

Family Fun Day Movie Matinee: Rango! - Autry Museum of the American West (March 7)
The 2011 animated Western film Rango! screens at Autry Museum of the American West on Saturday, March 7. Before the matinee, Critter Squad Wildlife Defenders will be on hand to introduce the audience to reptiles and amphibians. Crafts, games and a scavenger hunt are also part of the fun, which begins at 10 a.m.

Drama - The Wiltern (March 7)
Tickets are running low to catch Drama at The Wiltern on Saturday, March 7. The Chicago-based duo, known for their mix of house and synthpop, are finishing up their Platonic Romance tour in Los Angeles. Catch them now before they play Coachella in April.

The Kings - Crypto.com Arena (March 2, 5, 7)
The Kings play Colorado Avalanches on Monday, March 2, in the first of three home games during the first week of the month. They’ll be back at Crypto on Thursday, March 5, for a match against the New York Islanders and, on March 7, the puck drops at 4 p.m. for a Saturday afternoon meeting with the Montreal Canadiens.

Dragon Mama @ Geffen Playhouse
Playwright and actor Sara Porkalob brings Dragon Mama, the second installment in The Dragon Cycle, to the Geffen Playhouse for its LA Premiere. Directed by Andrew Russell, Dragon Mama opens on Wednesday, March 4 and runs through April 12.
