"Sister Act" - Academy Museum (Nov. 8)
Sister Act stars Whoopi Goldberg as Reno lounge singer Deloris Wilson, who, on the run from the mob, joins a cloister of nuns in San Francisco. Unsure how best to apply her real-world skills, Deloris—now called Sister Mary Clarence—starts leading the choir, whose overnight success brings her unwanted attention. With an uplifting message of sisterhood, chosen family, and the importance of art in everyone’s life, Sister Act became one of the highest-grossing films of 1992 and was eventually adapted for the stage in 2006.

She'll play four nights at The Wiltern: November 5 and 6, and November 9 and 10.

LA Clippers vs. Miami Heat - Intuit Dome (Nov. 3)
The LA Clippers kick off November at home when they play the Miami Heat on Monday, November 3. They’ll be back at Intuit Dome on November 4, as well, to take on current NBA champs Oklahoma City Thunder and on Saturday, November 7, for a game against the Phoenix Suns.

UCLA Bruins vs. Eastern Washington Eagles - Pauley Pavilion (Nov. 3)
The UCLA Bruins officially start the men’s basketball season at Pauley Pavilion on Monday, November 3 when they take on the Eastern Washington Eagles.

"Jaja’s African Hair Braiding" - Mark Taper Forum (Nov. 4-9)
Jaja’s African Hair Braiding, the Tony-winning comedy set in a Harlem salon, comes to Los Angeles for a month-long run at Mark Taper Forum. The play, written by Jocelyn Bioh and directed by Whitney White, features evening and matinee performances through November 9.
