Prometheus - Walt Disney Concert Hall (Jan. 9-11)
The Body and Sound festival begins at Walt Disney Concert Hall with LA Phil Conductor Laureate Esa-Pekka Salonen leading performances of Scriabin’s Prometheus, Poem of Fire throughout the weekend of January 9. Evening concerts are scheduled for Friday and Saturday; there will also be a matinee performance on Sunday, January 11.

A Concert for Altadena - Pasadena Civic Auditorium (Jan. 7)
LA-based folk rock band Dawes has organized A Concert for Altadena to raise funds for the Altadena Builds Back Foundation. Held on Wednesday, January 7 - one year to the day of the start of the Eaton Fire - the benefit concert includes Aloe Blacc, Lord Huron, Brandon Flowers, Jenny Lewis, host John C. Reilly and many more.

It's the final week of Holiday Ice Rink Pershing Square, which will run through January 11. Framed by skyscrapers and adorned with festive holiday lights, LA's largest outdoor ice skating rink spans 7,200 square feet and welcomes more than 54,000 skaters and 450,000 spectators annually. Open daily noon to 10pm.

The Notebook - The Pantages (Jan. 6-25)
Twenty years after Nicholas Sparks’ debut novel was adapted into a hit movie, The Notebook took on a new life as a Broadway musical. With music and lyrics by Ingrid Michaelson and book by Bekah Brunstetter, The Notebook will premiere at the Pantages Theatre on January 6 and run through January 25.
