We Love LA: Skyline Festival, Brandi Carlile, House of Kong

Gorillaz bring their House of Kong to Los Angeles, Brandi Carlile plays Kia Forum and Skyline Festival takes over Downtown Los Angeles during the week of February 23 through March 1. Plus runners, bicyclists and even dogs will hit the streets for Los Angeles Chinatown Firecracker Run and Philip Glass' opera Akhnaten is back by popular demand.

House of Kong - Rolling Greens (Feb. 26 - March 19)
Tickets to see Gorillaz live at the Palladium on February 22 and 23 went fast, but you can still check out House of Kong, the band’s immersive exhibition, which opens at Rolling Greens in Downtown Los Angeles on February 26 and runs through March 19.

Skyline Festival - Ace*Mission Studios (Feb. 28 and March 1)
Now at Ace*Mission Studios, Skyline Festival returns for 2026 with a stacked lineup to keep you dancing through the weekend. The Blessed Madonna, HAAi, DJ Seinfeld, Ben UFO, Eli Brown, Joseph Capriati and Richie Hawtin are just a few of the DJs who will be playing across three stages on February 28 and March 1. General admission tickets are sold out for February 28, but single day tickets for March 1 and weekend passes are still available for the 21+ event.

Los Angeles Chinatown Firecracker Run - Chinatown Central Plaza (Feb. 28 and March 1)
This year’s Los Angeles Chinatown Firecracker Run includes events for adults, kids and dogs. Sign up for the 20/50 mile bike ride or the PAW’er Dog Walk on February 28. The 5/10k run/walk event, as well as the Kiddie Run, are on March 1. Both days open with traditional lion dancers and 100,000 firecrackers.

Baile World w/Kevin Saunderson - 9thirtyLA (Feb. 27)
Baile World brings a celebration of Black club music to 9thirtyLA on Friday, February 27. Detroit techno innovator Kevin Saunderson headlines the party, which will also include sets from Shekdash (NYC), DJ Nico (Memphis), Cquestt (LA) and Tromac (Baltimore).

LAFC vs. Real España of Honduras - BMO Stadium (Feb. 24)
LAFC is one of nine MLS teams to qualify for this years Concacaf Champions Cup and they’ll be playing against Real España de Honduras in the first round. The home game for the series will be on Tuesday, February 24 at BMO Stadium.

Akhnaten - Dorothy Chandler Pavilion (Feb. 28- March 22)
Philip Glass’ opera Akhnaten is back by popular demand. The LA Opera production directed by Phelim McDermott opens at Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on Saturday, February 28, where it will run through March 22.
