We Love LA: Slamdance, Los Bukis and the Start of Soccer Season

Slamdance Film Festival returns to Los Angeles and Lady Gaga brings the Mayhem Ball to Kia Forum during the week of February 16. Meanwhile, Los Bukis will play their final shows over the weekend of February 20. Also happening that weekend: Lunar New Year celebrations in Chinatown and the Port of Los Angeles, plus home season openers for LAFC and LA Galaxy. Slamdance Film Festival - Multiple Venues (February 19 - 25)
Independent film festival Slamdance opens its second year in Los Angeles on Thursday, February 19, and will continue through February 25 with screenings at Director’s Guild of America, Landmark Sunset and 2220 Arts. Overall, 141 films are set to screen, including 50 world premieres. Head to the Slamdance website for festival passes.

Los Bukis @ SoFi Stadium (February 20-21)
After several years of reunion tours, and earning their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last summer, Mexican band Los Bukis will play their final two concerts at SoFi on February 20 and 21. Few tickets are remaining for the Saturday night show, which was added due to the demand for Friday night tickets, so act now for your last chance to see Los Bukis live.

Golden Dragon Parade - Chinatown (February 21)
The 127th annual Golden Dragon Parade celebrating Lunar New Year will bring floats, performers and more to the streets of Los Angeles’ Chinatown on Saturday, February 21 at 1 p.m. 

• Port of Los Angeles Lunar New Year Celebration - Crafted at Port of Los Angeles (February 21)
• PAW Patrol Live - Peacock Theater (February 21 -22)

Dialed Records - Santa Monica Pier (February 21)
Dialed Records brings underground house to the Santa Monica Pier on Saturday, February 21. DJs Kepler and Laidlaw headline a lineup that will take you from late afternoon until Saturday night.

LAFC - Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum (February 21)
LAFC kicks off the MLS regular season at home on Saturday, February 21. Catch them at 6:30 p.m., when they play Inter Miami CF at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Six - Pantages Theatre (February 18 - March 8)
Six, the story of Henry VIII’s wives that spawned the hit album, Six: Live on Opening Night, comes to Los Angeles for a stint at the Pantages Theatre that opens on Wednesday, February 18, and runs through March 8.
