Welcome to Bonfire Country, where families gather atop Mississippi River levees to build 20-foot-high bonfires honoring a centuries-old tradition. St. James Parish hosts the largest gatherings in Gramercy, Lutcher and Paulina with more happening across the river. Join us on December 24 as we light the bonfires, guiding Papa Noël through Louisiana’s River Parishes.
