Editor's Take

Made In Cookware isn't your typical direct-to-consumer kitchen brand-and honestly, that's exactly what makes them interesting. Founded in 2017 by childhood friends Jake Kalick and Chip Malt, the company has deep roots in the restaurant supply business dating back to 1929 when Jake's grandfather started Boston's Harbour Food Service Equipment. So when they say they understand professional kitchens, they're not just throwing around marketing speak.

What really sets Made In apart is their obsession with authenticity. All of the chefs they feature authentically purchase and use their cookware in their restaurants, with no endorsement deals made behind the scenes. That's refreshing in an industry where celebrity chef partnerships often feel manufactured. Their global network of 2,000+ restaurants are intimately connected to their design and development process, ensuring the products they make perform for a lifetime.

The product lineup focuses on the essentials-stainless steel, non-stick, carbon steel, knives, plates, and glasses-but each piece is crafted with serious attention to detail. Made In Cookware is sourced from the highest quality raw materials and designed to the exacting standards of the world's best chefs. They work with multigenerational makers in Europe and the USA to craft each piece to last a lifetime. And they back that up with a lifetime warranty on almost all of their products.

The numbers tell the story too. Backed by over 110,000 5-star reviews and used by hundreds of professional kitchens around the country, Made In has built credibility the hard way-through performance rather than flashy marketing. Their Austin headquarters includes a studio kitchen used to produce content for the Made In Studio, host events, collaborate with their chef partners, and test recipes.

Sure, you'll pay more than you would for mass-market cookware, but the value proposition is clear: restaurant-quality tools that'll outlast whatever trendy pan is dominating social media this month. No gimmicks. No paid endorsements. Just high quality cookware used daily in professional kitchens, ready to last a lifetime in yours.
