Fish Often, Dine Deliciously

Dive into the new Maryland Catfish Trail and join the fight against invasive species threatening the Chesapeake Bay and our blue crabs. Get tips on prime fishing locations across the Bay watershed, book a fishing charter with knowledgeable captains (some of whom are also Chesapeake Bay Storytellers ) sign up for one - or several - catfish tournaments, and find local restaurants serving wild-caught Bay catfish. There’s even a chance that you can win money or prizes fishing for blue catfish!

Sip and Savor Spring

at the Wine Village

Baltimore’s free wine festival at the Inner harbor is back. From May 9 through May 27, the Wine Village is open every day to sip, savor and celebrate spring in the Inner Harbor. No admission, discounted parking and fun for the whole family. And why not make it a "sip-tacular" spring getaway and book a room for a few nights at one of Baltimore’s nearby hotels?

Hike, Pedal or Paddle in Birdland

While Camden Yards is a great place to see the birds, spring is the perfect time to hit Maryland’s Trail System Second-to-None to see hundreds of species taking wing. If you’re lucky you might even see a pair of Baltimore orioles–nesting peaks from mid-May to early June. After your hike, pedal, or paddle, keep an eye on your new feathered friends with Blackwater National Wildlife’s osprey and eagle cams!
