Returns

What is the return window?
Miaou.com accepts returns for a refund, exchange, or store credit within 14 days of placing your order. This is notably shorter than many retailers, so you'll want to try things on right away when they arrive.

How will I receive my refund?
Refunds are issued after your return package is confirmed delivered to the warehouse and QC'd. Please allow up to 10 days for your refund to appear on your account. Refunds to your original payment method are subjected to a $5.00 restocking fee which is deducted from your refund.

Who pays for return shipping?
All domestic returns for store credit and exchanges are free. However, if you want a refund to your original payment method, there's a $5 restocking fee. For international customers, prepaid return labels are provided, but the cost of your return shipment will be generated by the system upon submitting your return and deducted from your refund.

How do I start a return online?
Returns can be processed through the online return portal. Just enter your order number and shipping zip code associated with the return item(s) ordered to get started. Your credit or exchange will be processed upon scanning your return package at drop-off to UPS.

Editor's Take

So here's the thing about Miaou-it's one of those brands that just gets it. You know what I mean? Founded in 2016 by designer Alexia Elkaim, who spent her youth between Paris and Los Angeles scouring flea markets and listening to French chanteuses like Brigitte Bardot. She created the brand on a one-off pair of denim pants, lovingly recreated from a favorite Parisian vintage find. And honestly, that origin story tells you everything you need to know about what makes this label special.

The whole brand started because Elkaim couldn't find jeans that actually fit her body properly. Like, how many of us have been there? Standing in a dressing room, trying on the tenth pair of pants that just... don't work. Elkaim's body-hugging jeans instantly went viral, quickly amassing a digital cult following including the zeitgeist's crop of Insta-models. But it wasn't just hype-these pieces actually deliver on the fit front.

What's kind of brilliant is how Miaou has evolved beyond just being "that viral jean brand." Born in France and inspired by the Southern California coastline, they now offer iconic corsets, matching sets, dresses, denim and more. The aesthetic is this perfect collision of vintage French girl meets California cool, which sounds like it shouldn't work but absolutely does. Think '90s supermodel energy with a modern, inclusive twist.

And speaking of inclusive-the brand offers pants from a size 23 to a 32, which feels refreshing in the designer space. The pieces aren't cheap (we're talking designer price points here), but there's something about the construction and fit that makes them feel like investment pieces rather than just trendy throwaways. Their corsets have basically become a Gen Z going-out staple at this point, and you've probably seen their signature Thais dress all over Instagram even if you didn't know what brand it was.

The brand ships worldwide and offers free shipping on orders over $150 in the U.S., which is pretty standard for this category. They produce everything in LA, which means you're getting that California-made quality. Whether you're into their viral corsets, those universally-flattering high-rise pants, or their romantic dresses that somehow manage to feel both vintage and completely current, Miaou has carved out this really specific lane that just works. It's fashion that makes you feel good-and honestly, isn't that the whole point?
