In a career spanning over 50 years, dozens of albums, and too many shows to count, Marty Stuart still charts a course through new territory at every chance possible. Joined by his longtime band The Fabulous Superlatives, the five-time GRAMMY® Award winner, Country Music Hall of Famer, Congress of Country Music founder, and AMA Lifetime Achievement Award recipient cruises into another stratosphere with his first-ever full-length instrumental LP, Space Junk. The inimitable interplay between Marty, Kenny Vaughan, Harry Stinson, and Chris Scruggs fuels this cosmic cowboy trip with sun-kissed surf guitar, breezy California rhythms, soul-stirring steel guitar, and fluid fretwork all around. |

The Englert PresentsWilli Carlisle
Featuring Olivia Ellen Lloyd Live @ The JamesThursday, June 4th @ 7:30 PM |
Folksinger Willi Carlisle holds tight the conviction that love is bigger than hate, and no-one is expendable. Carlisle’s music has always been a dance between absurdity, spectacle, and philosophy. On his fourth studio album, Winged Victory, Carlisle returns with his signature blend of traditionally-rooted folk music and kaleidoscope of oddball characters to confer with his core tenets in more overt and provocative ways.
Carlisle delivers Victory as the next chapter in his long-running direct address to the hope that by understanding our collective suffering we might be free of it. He’s intent on creating art and a well-rounded life in a broken world. The idea began with 2022’s Peculiar, Missouri when Carlisle proclaimed “your heart’s a big tent, everybody gets in.” After gathering together all the world’s weirdos and misfits under the big tent, with 2024’s Critterland, Carlisle let them loose into the world. Now, on Winged Victory, they speak for themselves, unencumbered by social expectations. |

Pslam One
Sponsored By Iowa City Pride Live @ The EnglertSaturday, June 20th @ 10 PM |
Cristalle Bowen, aka Psalm One, has been consistently recognized as one of independent hip hop’s most forward thinkers. A prolific author, educator and recording artist, Psalm has been featured in esteemed publications like Rolling Stone and Forbes. She’s also contributed her earnest cultural critique to publications like Reverb and The Chicago Reader; a side quest that fills her with joy.
Since 2006 she has commanded festival and venue stages all over the United States and Europe, sharing bills with everyone from Tyler, the Creator to Wu-Tang Clan. Her effortless flow has historically commanded attention, but it’s her deep introspective lyrics that resonate with listeners. With a hefty catalogue and adventurous spirit, Psalm One sits at a section of hip hop reserved for elite spitters and great ponderers - continuing the tradition of legendary, thoughtful Chicago emcees. |
