Thank you to everyone who showed up to night one of the Iowa City Songwriters Festival! We're ramping up the festivities tonight with our first headlining performance: Jeff Tweedy at The Englert! Opening night at the trumpet Blossom Cafe was phenomenal! What a wonderful way to sit in community and conversation with old and new friends alike. I have long been a fan of both Deb Talan and Courtney Marie Andrews, but getting to experience this song swap in person was something I am really grateful for. To everyone who was there, thank you. If you missed it, keep an eye out for the next one. You will want to see it.

Looking Forward - Friday brings the part of the festival I have been most excited for. Do not sleep on Margo Cilker y’all! I am hyped to hear her in Iowa City again. Make sure to let me know what you think!

Limited merchandise will be available on-site at The Englert during the festival.
You can choose to have merch shipped after the festival by selecting the shipping option on the merch site, or you can order in advance for pickup at our box office during the festival.

Box Office Hours

While passes are officially sold out, tickets will be available for pickup and sale throughout the week of the festival. The Englert Box Office (221 E Washington Street) will be open for the following extended hours on festival days:

Friday, September 5: 10 AM-11 PM
Saturday, September 6: 6:30 PM-11PM
