The band Joseph opened for Amos Lee at The Englert a few years back, but took to a small business tour this last October landing them in Revival in Iowa City. Not new to Iowa City, but back as a duo in anticipation of a new album this January we are thrilled to welcome Joseph back to our stage. 

On the first single from Joseph’s anticipated 2026 release, “It’s giving Lorde’s Solar Power era. Light, healed, and stepping into a new age… The vocals are great, they’re raw, expressive, and emotional. Perfect for a song of this magnitude,” (Get Some Magazine). 
 

JOSEPH is the Oregon-bred sister duo of Natalie and Meegan Closner, known for their powerful harmonies, emotionally honest songwriting, and genre-blurring blend of indie pop, folk, and rock. Since releasing their breakout debut I’m Alone, No You’re Not in 2016—which featured their hit single “White Flag” and landed them on The Tonight Show, TODAY, and the Billboard charts—the band has steadily built a devoted following through gripping live performances, national tours, and appearances at major festivals including Coachella, Glastonbury, and Bonnaroo.

“Jordana’s new EP Jordanaland arrives this week. The LA-based artist has shared “Still Do” and “Like That,” and today we get a final preview with the glamorous, breezy earworm ‘Blouse,’ which is not a Clairo cover. ‘Blouse’ is, ‘a song about wanting someone to realize there’s a romantic connection underneath the superficial reasons,’ the singer-songwriter expounds. ‘Through a one-sided passionate intimacy, shouting into the ether, questioning if tender moments with each other could mean anything more than just a physical relationship,’” (Stereo Gum).

“Though, Jordana’s “best” is better than the average person’s. With a innate sense of understanding music and genre in ways that not too many artists are keen to, and an ability to adapt at the drop of the hat, it seems only natural that Jordana would be worth seeing live,” (Culture Cabinet). 

After releasing her last album, Face the Wall, Pitchfork noted, “Maryland singer-songwriter Jordana Nye’s bright, gauzy indie pop puts a sharp percussive edge on familiar melancholy,” (Pitchfork).
