As we celebrate 20 years of Mission Creek, we are bringing back many artists that performed the festival in the past! This email highlights just a few returning artists at this year's festival, but there are so many more performing this year than listed here! Kim Gordon In Concert

Kim Gordon was just announced as the festival's headliner, which is all too fitting after her Mission Creek performance was cut off in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She boasts a long catalogue of records, GRAMMY-nominated music, and a full band in concert at Mission Creek this year. Before her set, catch her literary conversation with Rachel Kushner at Hancher Auditorium.

William Elliott Whitmore

Whitmore performed Mission Creek 2014, and as an Iowan, is very important to Iowan songwriting and music. Take a look at this article by KRUI about his 2014 performance! He returns to Mission Creek this Saturday at The Englert, don't miss his set!

Your Smith

Caroline Smith returns as Your Smith this year at Mission Creek! Her first Mission Creek performance was in 2010, check out the video above by Little Village. She closes out Gabe's on Friday, catch her late set to cap off your night!

The Tanks

The Tanks are getting back together for a reunion this year at Mission Creek! The Iowa City punk band was a staple in the scene, performing at Mission Creek 2007 and 2008. Performing on the same bill as another IC punk reunion, Supersonic Piss, The Tanks will be at Gabe's on Saturday. For those on the Iowa City music scene, this is an important night to witness!
