We had a very exciting week at The Englert!

The Englert is excited to welcome our 2026 Nonfiction fellow, Nikka Sighn, who was also a scholar at our innagural Iowa City Songwriter Festival.

We attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for the North Liberty HyVee Event Center & Ampitheater and celebrated the 21st season of The Nutcracker thanks to Nolte Academy and ongoing support from Hills Bank.

The Nonfiction Writing Fellowship, now in its eighth year, was created in partnership with the University of Iowa to support the professional development of one student in the Writers’ Workshop each year by providing close access to The Englert’s arts programming and resources. Thank you to MidwestOne for their ongoing support of our educational programming.

We had a blast at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new North Liberty Hyvee Event Center and Amphitheater. It is always a treat to celebrate new middle spaces in our area that support art and community.

Congratulations to the entire team on a major accomplishment! We are looking forward to seeing this space come alive with events, concerts, gatherings, and more.

How lucky are we to celebrate 21 years of The Nutcracker with Nolte Academy with support from Hills Bank!
