| Since 2001, Signature Cruise Experiences (SCE), previously known as Jazz Cruises, has been the gold standard for jazz cruises, welcoming nearly 200,000 guests on board. For many years, we’ve enjoyed a collaborative partnership with Monterey Jazz, which presents many of the same notable artists including Dianne Reeves, Gregory Porter, Marcus Miller, John Clayton, and of course, Christian McBride. A regular performer at the Monterey Jazz Festival, Christian has led various ensembles and premiered special projects there. This year, he is the guest of honor at the festival's annual Jazz Legends Gala on Thursday, September 25.
SCE was thrilled to invite Christian to host his own cruise, Christian McBride’s World at Sea. The 7-day cruise departs from Ft. Lauderdale with stops in Jamaica and Grand Cayman from January 20 - 27, 2026. The lineup includes several of Christian’s ensembles, such as his Big Band, Inside Straight, Ursa Major, and Remembering Ray Brown. They’ll be joined by an exciting guest vocalists including Ledisi, Samara Joy, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Angélique Kidjo, José James, and Melissa Walker. Christian McBride’s World at Sea also features comedy by two of his favorites—Alonzo Bodden and George Wallace. The ship will be swinging with music and special events from morning to night! |
