Frank Lee More New Stock Analyst Reports Led by 11% and 10% sales growth for Hoka and Ugg, respectively, Deckers (DECK ) reported 9% sales growth in its fiscal 2026 second quarter. Sales growth outpaced our 7% estimate due to Ugg's performance. Gross margin rose 30 basis points to 56.2% despite higher tariffs, but operating margin slid 50 basis points to 22.8% on increased marketing. Deckers' fiscal 2026 guidance aligns with our forecast. The strategy benefits from the experience and skill of sole manager Matt Friedman. He started as an analyst at Fidelity in 2000 before running several energy and industrials sector funds. He ran this strategy from 2006 to 2010, then left it to lead midvalue fund Fidelity Value. In 2016, Friedman returned to Fidelity Value Strategies and runs it as a best-ideas version of Fidelity Value.
