Ananya Chag Recent Earnings New Stock Analyst Reports Western Union's (WU) first quarter showed mixed results. Revenue trends improved a bit sequentially during the first quarter. Overall revenue was basically flat, as a 3% decline in the money transfer business was offset by 24% growth in the smaller consumer services segment. Adjusted operating margin declined to 13% from 19% last year. While a decline was expected, the magnitude was greater than anticipated, although it appears to be mainly due to the timing of some expenses and a foreign-exchange loss. We remain comfortable with our full-year margin projection. New Fund Analyst Reports Calamos Phineus Long/Short’s (CPLSX) strong lead manager and unique approach are worthy of strong consideration, though fees impose a headwind. This strategy is in exceptionally experienced hands. Lead manager Michael Grant joined Calamos in 2015 after it purchased the firm he founded, Phineus Partners, where he had been running this long-short strategy since 2002.
