William Kerwin New Stock Analyst Reports Short-seller Jehoshaphat Research issued a report that sent Gildan's GIL shares down 19% on June 16. Its main allegation is that the firm is offering generous payment terms to distributors to inflate sales. It also questioned the credibility of CEO Glenn Chamandy and whether Gildan can reach second-half sales expectations. Gildan responded by reiterating its guidance and the accuracy of its financial disclosures. We are not changing our view. There is nothing in the short report that suggests that Gildan's competitive edge has been lost or that its long-term outlook is poor. New Fund Analyst Reports Despite personnel changes, Harbor Small Cap Growth’s (HNSGX) consistent and sound approach earns an Above Average Process rating; the strategy’s People rating is Average. This strategy’s longtime subadvisor, Westfield Capital Management, has seen nine tenured investment team members leave since 2019. The team backfilled vacancies with both junior and experienced hires, including one who returned to the firm after a brief stint outside the industry. While such turnover isn’t ideal, the current 16 team members provide adequate depth, and the investment committee structure allows for collective decision-making, which draws on the committee’s considerable industry experience, about 30 years on average.
