Jacob Robbins While recession fears have cooled, here are some signals worth watching. Margaret Giles New Stock Analyst Reports The Federal Trade Commission has sued Live Nation's LYV Ticketmaster. It alleges that Ticketmaster allowed ticket brokers to buy tickets from Ticketmaster at face value in the primary market and then resell those same tickets for a premium in the secondary market on Ticketmaster. We don't expect this lawsuit to have a negative effect. Ticketmaster has already been deemphasizing secondary ticket sales, so any relief ordering a change to business practices shouldn't be consequential. The FTC is limited in its ability to collect monetary damages, although states or consumers may seek restitution or punitive damages. FedEx's FDX fiscal 2026 first-quarter consolidated revenue rose 3% year over year on surprisingly resilient domestic ground volume strength, partly offset by lower Asia-to-US package activity and ongoing industrial sector weakness for FedEx Freight's less-than-truckload trucking business. US domestic package volumes grew 5%, well ahead of our forecast. It isn't clear how much of that came from consumers pulling forward purchases ahead of tariffs, but it was partly driven by market share gains, including solid new business wins among small-business customers.
