Returns

What is the return window?
If requesting a refund, simply contact us within 90 days of purchase. This 90-day satisfaction guarantee applies to all MyCompanyWorks services and packages.

Are there any items that are non-returnable?
Unfortunately we cannot refund money charged by the government (filing or copy fees, etc.) or third party vendors. Only MyCompanyWorks' service fees are eligible for refund-state filing fees and third-party vendor charges are non-refundable.

How will I receive my refund?
We are, however, very flexible and are willing to work with you to ensure your satisfaction! While the specific refund method isn't detailed on their website, customers should contact MyCompanyWorks directly to arrange the refund process.

Editor's Take

So here's the thing about MyCompanyWorks-it's basically the anti-lawyer for people who want to start a business. And I mean that in the best way possible.

Founded in 2001 (originally as MyNewCompany.com), they've helped form over 50,000 companies, which is kind of wild when you think about it. That's 50,000 people who decided "I'm doing this" and needed someone to handle the paperwork nightmare that is LLC formation. Because let's be honest-nobody wakes up excited to file Articles of Organization with their state's Secretary of State office.

What makes them different? Speed, mostly. Submit your order by 3pm EST and they'll process it the same business day-orders after 3pm get processed the next business day. Compare that to competitors who might take days just to acknowledge your order exists. They return most phone calls and emails in 20 minutes or less during business hours, which is almost unheard of in this industry where 24-48 hours is considered "fast."

The pricing sits in that interesting middle ground. Their basic package starts at $79 plus state fees-not the cheapest (some competitors offer free formation), but not highway robbery either. And here's where it gets interesting: they're weirdly transparent about what you're paying for. No sneaky auto-renewals disguised as "free trials." You'll only be charged for the services you choose-no need to cancel anything in the guise of free trials.

They've got this 100% satisfaction guarantee thing, though if you dig into the fine print, there's a $25-$75 processing fee that makes the "100%" claim a bit... optimistic. Still, you can request a refund within 90 days of purchase, though they can't refund government filing fees or third party vendor charges.

The real value shows up in the extras. You get an interactive startup wizard (basically a checklist so you don't forget critical steps), customized operating agreements, organizational minutes, and lifetime compliance reminders. That last one's huge-miss your annual report deadline and your LLC can get administratively dissolved, which is about as fun as it sounds.

Customer reviews are all over the map, which is kind of fascinating. Shopper Approved rates them 4.9 out of 5, but TrustPilot only gives them 2.6 out of 5 with just four reviews, three being one-star. Classic internet paradox.

One thing that's genuinely useful: they work with non-US residents, which most competitors either don't do or make unnecessarily complicated. If you're forming a US company from abroad, that's actually a pretty big deal.

The bottom line? MyCompanyWorks is solid if you value responsive customer service and don't want to spend weeks figuring out which forms go where. It's not the cheapest option, and it's not the fanciest. But sometimes "gets it done without drama" is exactly what you need when you're trying to launch a business and have approximately 47 other things to worry about.
