Returns

What is the return window?
You can return or exchange your item 30 days after they're received for any reason. All Purchases made between November 1st and December 31st will be eligible for return or exchange until January 31st.

Do I need a receipt to return an item?
You must have proof of purchase, packaging and hang tags intact, and all items included. To qualify for a refund or exchange, all items must be new, unused, and returned in their original packaging, with all original tags attached and in place. Every return is carefully inspected by our inbound team.

How will I receive my refund?
Refunds go to the original payment method unless you email [email protected] to request store credit instead. U.S. Customers receive a prepaid return label. If Package Protection wasn't selected at checkout, return shipping will be deducted from your refund based on discounted carrier rates: Accessories/Apparel: $6.99, Bags: $13.99, Luggage: $24.99.

Who pays for return shipping?
All returns will be subject to a shipping and handling fee. U.S. customers will receive a prepaid return label via email. For international orders, we cannot issue labels-returns must be shipped independently and are only eligible for refunds.

Editor's Take

So here's the thing about Nomatic-they're basically what happens when a couple of guys get tired of carrying around mediocre bags and decide to do something about it. Founded in 2014 with a single product and one highly functional feature, their goal has been to bring products to the global market that have category-leading functionality, design and durability. And honestly? They kind of nailed it.

The company started with a different name entirely (BASICS, if you can believe it), but trademark issues forced a rebrand in 2016. Lucky for them, because Nomatic just sounds better anyway. What sets them apart is this obsessive attention to organization-we're talking 22 pockets in some of their backpacks. Twenty-two. That's either genius or overkill, depending on how you pack.

They create minimalist products like travel bags, backpacks, camera bags, and more. But it's not just about stuffing pockets everywhere. Crowdfunding has been a strategic part of their success, helping them build a close relationship with their consumers who have supported their launch into photography, travel, everyday gear, and accessories. They've raised over $10 million through platforms like Kickstarter, which tells you something about how much people actually want what they're selling.

The Travel Pack is probably their most famous piece-it expands up to 50% for extra packing space and includes a TSA-approved laptop compartment that folds flat. Notice how they're always thinking about the actual travel experience, not just making another black backpack. They've also collaborated with photographer Peter McKinnon on a camera pack line, which makes sense when you consider how many YouTubers and content creators swear by their gear.

Every Nomatic product is made to go wherever life takes you-and they stand behind it with a lifetime warranty, free shipping, and easy returns when you need them. That lifetime warranty is legit, too-people actually use it and get replacements years later. The bags are designed in Salt Lake City and manufactured in the Philippines, using synthetic materials (so they're vegan-friendly, if that matters to you).

One thing worth mentioning: they'll cover shipping on orders $49.99+ within the contiguous US. And while their stuff isn't cheap-expect to pay $200-300 for a quality backpack-the durability seems to justify it. These aren't bags you'll replace in a year. They're built for people who actually use their gear hard, whether that's daily commuting or month-long trips through Southeast Asia.

The company's philosophy is pretty straightforward: carry what you need, nothing more, nothing less. They call it "Life on the Move," which sounds a bit marketing-y but actually captures what they're about. Whether you're a digital nomad, a weekend warrior, or just someone who's tired of digging through an unorganized mess every time you need your charger, Nomatic's probably worth a look.
