Editor's Take

So here's the thing about Noritake-it's one of those brands that's been around so long, you might've eaten off their plates at your grandmother's house without even realizing it. Since 1904, they've been bringing beauty and quality to dining tables around the world, with superior artistry and craftsmanship that's made them an international trademark.

But Noritake isn't just resting on its century-plus legacy. The company actually started as a trading operation in New York back in 1876, importing Japanese goods. In 1904, the forerunner of the Noritake Company was established in the village of Noritake, a small suburb near Nagoya, Japan, with the goal of creating western-style dinnerware for export. It took them a decade to nail it, but once they did, there was no looking back.

What's kind of fascinating is how they've managed to stay relevant. Walk into any home goods store today and you'll find their Colorwave collection sitting right next to the trendiest modern designs. They've got everything from casual stoneware that you can toss in the dishwasher without a second thought to formal bone china with platinum accents that'll make your holiday table look like something out of a magazine.

And the variety? It's honestly impressive. Since 1904, Noritake has been bringing beauty and quality to dining tables, and they've figured out how to appeal to basically everyone-whether you're a 25-year-old setting up your first apartment or someone replacing a cherished pattern from decades ago. They even have a breakage replacement program, which is pretty clutch when you inevitably drop that salad plate.

The company ships from a warehouse in Georgia, processes orders within 2-5 business days, and offers free shipping on orders over $75 within the continental U.S. They've also embraced modern shopping conveniences-you can pay with PayPal, Venmo, or even installments through PayPal Pay Later.

One thing that sets them apart is their commitment to both innovation and tradition. Superior artistry and craftsmanship, attention to detail and uncompromising commitment to quality have made Noritake an international trademark during this past century. They're not just churning out generic white plates. Each pattern has thought behind it, whether it's the geometric precision of their Infinity Bronze line or the casual, stackable appeal of their ColorStax collection.

The pricing is all over the map, which actually works in their favor. You can snag clearance items for under $20 or invest in a full formal set that'll run you several hundred dollars. And honestly, the quality justifies it-this is dinnerware that lasts, which matters when you're tired of replacing cheap plates every few years.
