Orlando City announced today that goalkeeper Pedro Gallese will depart the Club following the conclusion of his current contract. Gallese leaves the City Beautiful after six memorable seasons as a Lion.
The 35-year-old Peruvian international appeared in 40 matches, all starts, for Orlando City in 2025 across all competitions, totaling 3,600 minutes played, 124 saves, and 15 wins. He played a pivotal role in the Lions’ Leagues Cup 2025 Quarterfinal victory over Liga MX’s reigning Campeón de Campeones, Deportivo Toluca—making two crucial saves in the sixth and seventh rounds of the penalty shootout and scoring the game-winning penalty himself.
Over his six seasons in Orlando, the Lima native made 201 appearances, all starts, becoming the most capped goalkeeper in Club history. He set Club records in minutes played (18,188), saves (568), wins (89) and clean sheets (57), surpassing previous record-holder Joe Bendik by significant margins in each category.
