Editor's Take

So here's the thing about Parachute-they've basically cracked the code on making bedding feel like a lifestyle choice rather than just, you know, something you sleep on.

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Venice, CA, this isn't your typical home goods company. The founder, Ariel Kaye, had one of those "aha" moments while staying at a hotel on the Amalfi Coast-she discovered incredibly soft bedding and realized the home market was full of products that all looked the same, lacking that European quality without the hefty price tag or chemical treatments.

And honestly? They've delivered on that vision. Parachute focuses on providing premium sheets at reasonable prices, with production facilities in Portugal, Turkey, Italy, and the United States. But what really sets them apart is how they've built this whole ecosystem around the idea of "home."

Their product range has expanded way beyond bedding-they've got one of the strongest bath categories among bedding brands, with towels, robes, bath salts, slippers, and even moved into decor and living with table runners, throws, candles, and bed frames. It's like they're saying, "Why stop at sheets when we can help you create an entire vibe?"

The shopping experience is genuinely impressive too. They offer four retail locations plus an excellent online experience with perfectly organized filters that make it easy to find exactly what you want by product category, material, and color. As of recent counts, they've expanded to multiple locations including Venice CA, Silver Lake CA, Portland OR, and New York NY.

What's particularly smart is their approach to sustainability and customer experience. They're Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified, meaning their products surpass the highest criterion for testing harmful chemicals and synthetics, and unlike other bedding brands, they don't artificially soften their fabrics. Plus, they offer free shipping and returns with a 60-day trial-basically letting you live with their products long enough to know if they're right for you.

The brand has this interesting positioning where they're premium but accessible, European-inspired but California-designed. With annual revenue reaching $75M as of June 2025, they've clearly found their sweet spot in the market.
