Editor's Take
So here's the thing about Power Systems - they've been around since 1986, which in fitness equipment years is basically forever. And they're not just some fly-by-night operation selling resistance bands out of a garage. They're a leading provider of exercise, fitness, sports performance and functional training equipment for coaches, athletes and fitness experts, and honestly, they've kind of mastered the art of being the go-to supplier without being flashy about it.
What makes them interesting is their reach. They've helped equip health clubs, schools, athletic programs, communities, and municipalities across North America. That's not small potatoes - we're talking about the dumbbells your high school weight room probably had, the medicine balls at your local YMCA, and the resistance bands your physical therapist swears by. They're everywhere, but you might not have realized it.
The company operates out of Knoxville, Tennessee, and they're part of the PlayCore family now, which gives them even more resources and reach. But what really sets them apart is their approach. They offer over 30 years' experience in the professional fitness accessory market, with a best trained sales management team averaging 8+ years in the professional fitness marketplace. That's the kind of institutional knowledge you can't fake.
Their product range is genuinely comprehensive - from basic stuff like yoga mats and foam rollers to serious commercial-grade equipment like squat racks and Olympic lifting platforms. They offer dumbbells, kettlebells, barbells, as well as speed, agility, and quickness and plyometric training tools. Basically, if you need it for a workout, they probably sell it.
And here's something that matters more than people think: most orders placed on their website or on the phone are processed and shipped within 24 hours from time of order. In an era where everyone's gotten used to Amazon Prime, that kind of turnaround for specialty fitness equipment is actually pretty impressive. They've got a 250,000 square foot warehouse backing that up, so they're not messing around.
One thing worth noting - they're not just selling products and calling it a day. They've got educational resources, workout videos, and a whole blog dedicated to helping people actually use the equipment properly. It's that kind of attention to the complete customer experience that probably explains why they've been around for almost 40 years.
