You may have seen a recent email from a supplement company called "Do Not Age" attacking our new Sirtuin 6 Activator. The claims they made were not only false—they were defamatory, misleading, and potentially unlawful.
Let's set the record straight.
Our product is rooted in peer-reviewed science, transparently labeled, and inspired by pioneering research from the University of Rochester.* In fact, a newly published study—conducted by University of Rochester researchers and co-authored by Do Not Age's own Scientific Advisor—directly compared multiple seaweed extracts in vitro, including the same fucoidan extract we use (identical species, source, standardization, and supplier). The results? Our extract demonstrated stronger SIRT6 activation than the one used by Do Not Age.1
Despite this, the other company sent out a mass email falsely accusing us of deception—calling our product "fake," "fraudulent," and a "scam," and falsely claiming to issue a cease and desist letter, when they have not. These are not only baseless and inflammatory claims, but they misrepresent the facts and undermine the spirit of scientific progress.
Here's what you deserve to know:
Our Formula:
- 400 mg of fucoidan (from clearly labeled, clinically studied seaweed sources)
- 100 mg of seaweed concentrate powder (for added nutritive support)
- Fully compliant with FDA labeling regulations
- Evidence-based claims backed by research
Their Formula (as shown on their website):
- 400 mg of fucoidan (from an unspecified seaweed source—missing both species and plant part, in direct violation of FDA labeling requirements (21 CFR §101.36))
- Listed as "SIRT6 Activator®" in the Supplement Facts panel (a marketing claim used in place of the actual ingredient name, in direct violation of FDA labeling requirements)
- Multiple exaggerated, non-compliant marketing claims (further in violation of FDA/FTC requirements for claims and advertising)
We believe you deserve better—better science, better transparency, and better products. That's why we formulate with precision, cite the research, make accurate claims, and label our products the right way.
As for the defamatory statements in the competitor's email: we take them very seriously. We plan to address this matter head-on—and pursue it aggressively.
Thank you for trusting us. Science—and integrity—will always guide our path forward.
If you have any questions, we welcome the opportunity to answer them directly.
Sincerely,
The ProHealth Longevity Team
