Editor's Take

So here's the thing about Puraclenz - they're basically taking technology that NASA used on the International Space Station and shrinking it down for your living room. Which is kind of wild when you think about it.

The company makes air and surface purifiers using advanced PCO (photocatalytic oxidation) technology that's scientifically proven to combat mold, viruses, bacteria, and allergens. But unlike those HEPA filter machines you're constantly buying replacement filters for, Puraclenz works differently. It purifies without costly HEPA filters, covering up to 3,000 sq ft - that's basically your entire house or a decent-sized office space.

The tech itself is pretty fascinating. It's 99.4% effective against MS2 bacteriophage virus mid-air, which is impressive. And here's what makes it different from those ionizers you might've heard horror stories about: Puraclenz air purifiers are certified ozone-free thanks to their patented PCO purifying technology, unlike other PCO purifiers that emit harmful ozone.

Founded in 2020 and headquartered in New Canaan, CT, the company is a small operation with 2-10 employees, but they've been growing fast. They doubled their revenue in 2023 to $4 million in their second full year of business. Not bad for a tech startup in a crowded market.

What's interesting is how they position themselves. Notice how most air purifiers talk about filtering particles? Puraclenz goes after the stuff on your surfaces too - countertops, furniture, fabrics. The Photon stops mold spore growth in the air and on surfaces with a 99.75% success rate against candida albicans on surfaces, plus it reduces odors and mycotoxins.

They've got a few different models depending on your space. You get customizable coverage, allowing you to adjust airflow to purify from 750 to 3,000 square feet. And they've thought about the little things - Dark Mode for your bedroom, Boost Mode for serious mold issues, and it runs quiet enough that you won't even notice it's there.

The pricing sits around $499-$599 depending on the model, which isn't cheap. But when you factor in that they offer a 30-Day Trial & 100% Refund Return Policy, it takes some of the risk out of trying it. Plus, the purifier is warranted against original defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 2 years from date of purchase.
