State budget season is in full swing. Recent discussions in the state legislature have proposed reductions and even elimination for the Michigan Arts and Culture Council (MACC). If enacted, these proposed changes could significantly alter the level of support currently available to organizations for providing educational programming, supporting local employment, and helping to fund community-based events and services. As the budget process continues and our elected officials work through their budget deliberations, it is important for them to hear directly from their constituents about how MACC grants create vibrant communities, promote and preserve historic and cultural awareness, and encourage community engagement. | Apply Now to the MACC 25-26 Rising Leaders Program Rising Leaders is a rigorous and highly interactive personal development initiative committed to the advancement of Michigan's arts leaders, a program designed and facilitated by MACC and Partners in Performance, the nation's preeminent designer and facilitator of leadership development initiatives for the arts and culture sector.
