Register Now for an Afternoon of Arts Dialogue and Community Engagement

The Michigan Arts and Culture Council is honored to host Mary Anne Carter, chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), for a special public event in Jackson, Michigan. This is a rare opportunity to hear directly from a national arts leader about agency initiatives, funding, and community impact.

Location: Jackson Symphony Orchestra – Weatherwax Hall, 215 W. Michigan Ave. Jackson, MI 49201

Itinerary:

  • 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM | “On the Couch” Public Forum: Arts Policy in Focus Join Mary Anne Carter and Michigan arts leaders in an informal, moderated conversation in a cozy living-room style setting. The forum welcomes creative professionals, educators, regional subgrantees, and community advocates to discuss arts policy and initiatives.
  • 2:30 PM – 3:15 PM | Community Networking Reception Enjoy light refreshments and connect with the National Endowment for the Arts delegation and state cultural leaders in an open setting.
