Editor's Take

Record Roots isn't your typical vinyl company-it's basically what happens when someone gets tired of beautiful album art sitting hidden in milk crates. The whole thing started because, let's be honest, vinyl records come with some of the most gorgeous artwork ever created, but we never actually get to see it unless we're actively playing the record.

So Record Roots created these expandable fabric frames that let you display your vinyl collection right on your wall. Think of it as turning your favorite albums into rotating art installations. The frames are patent pending and expandable, measuring about 29.5" x 54.5" each. But here's the clever part-they're designed to be damage-free, using 3M Command Strips instead of nails or screws.

The company ships everything from Philadelphia, and they've got this whole system down. Orders placed before 10 AM EST ship the same day (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays), which is pretty impressive for a smaller operation. They're not just doing frames either-they've expanded into vinyl storage systems and even carry bags for transporting records.

What's interesting is how they've positioned themselves. The founder talks about designing these products for personal use first, then being "delighted other collectors are enjoying them." That kind of authentic, collector-to-collector approach seems to resonate with their customer base, based on the reviews I've seen.

The pricing reflects that they're targeting serious vinyl enthusiasts rather than casual listeners. These aren't impulse purchases-they're investments for people who really care about their record collections and want to showcase them properly. And honestly, in a world where streaming dominates, there's something refreshing about a company that celebrates the physical, visual aspect of music ownership.
