Are there any items that are non-returnable?
Gift Cards, cosmetics, bodysuits, intimates, bras, camisoles, slips, tights, socks and Final Sale/Clearance category items are final sale and may not be returned or exchanged. Jewelry, sunglasses, hats, and swimwear are returnable in new condition, but jewelry, sunglasses and hats are not returnable if they are in the sale section.

How will I receive my refund?
Red Dress offers store credit for returns, not cash refunds. Upon approval of your return, you will receive store credit for the value of the returned items minus any applicable shipping fees.

Who pays for return shipping?
If you choose to use the pre-paid UPS return label, the $6.00 for the return label will be deducted from your refund or store credit. If you choose Self Return, you may use the shipping carrier of your choice and will be responsible for paying postage.

What if I received a damaged or incorrect item?
If you receive an item that is damaged or incorrect, please notify customer service within 3 days of receiving your order, and include photos of any damage to expedite the process. If you received damaged or incorrect merchandise, reach out to the Customer Service department at [email protected] so that they can help you with a return label.

Editor's Take

So here's the thing about Red Dress Boutique-it's basically the poster child for what happens when someone actually quits their soul-crushing corporate job and does something about it. Diana Harbour started this whole operation in 2005 from a tiny storefront in Athens, Georgia, and now? The company hit $35 million in annual revenue as of July 2025. Not too shabby for someone who began selling dresses from her basement on eBay.

But what really sets them apart isn't just the rags-to-riches story (though that Shark Tank appearance in 2014 definitely didn't hurt). It's this whole "Shop the Look" concept they pioneered. You know how you're scrolling through Instagram at 11 PM, see a cute outfit, and then spend 45 minutes hunting down each individual piece? Red Dress said "nah" to that nonsense. They style complete outfits-dress, shoes, bag, jewelry, the works-and let you buy everything in one click. Revolutionary? Maybe not. Genius? Absolutely.

They've been around since 2005, which means they've survived every fashion trend from the mid-2000s to now. And they're not just throwing random stuff at a wall to see what sticks. Diana literally travels around curating pieces, puts together looks with creative names (because apparently "Blue Dress #47" doesn't sell as well), and the whole operation ships thousands of dollars in product daily.

The Shark Tank thing is worth mentioning because it's kind of wild. Mark Cuban and Robert Herjavec split a $1.2 million investment for 20% equity. Their website immediately crashed from the traffic. They did a million bucks in sales in six days. Then Diana eventually bought Mark out in 2019 and took back full ownership. That's some serious "thanks but I got this" energy.

What's interesting is they're not trying to be everything to everyone. Their vibe is colorful, curated, classic-words they actually use to describe themselves. They're going after that woman who loves fashion but doesn't have time to piece together outfits from twelve different websites. She wants to look put-together without the hassle, and she doesn't want to drop her entire paycheck doing it.

The company's grown from that single Athens storefront to a full-blown e-commerce operation with no physical retail presence anymore. Their store front is permanently closed, which honestly makes sense-why deal with retail overhead when your online business is crushing it? They've got over 735,000 Instagram followers, they're all over TikTok, and they're constantly dropping new arrivals.

One thing that's kind of refreshing: they're upfront about being a small business. They remind customers they're locally owned and their online division isn't open on weekends or holidays. In an age of faceless mega-corporations with 24/7 chatbots, there's something almost quaint about that.
