Editor's Take

Rick's Camaros isn't just another parts supplier-it's basically the holy grail for anyone who's ever fallen in love with a Chevrolet Camaro. And honestly? That's saying something in a world where classic car restoration can feel like navigating a minefield of overpriced junk and questionable quality.

What makes Rick's special is their story. They started as Rick's First Generation Camaro, then merged with Eckler's Camaro to create this comprehensive resource that covers ALL generations of Camaro-from 1967 to present day. For the past 25 years, they've been building their reputation as an industry leader. That's not marketing fluff; that's the kind of longevity that only comes from actually knowing what you're doing.

Here's what caught my attention: they stock over 600,000 parts and accessories. Six hundred thousand. That's not a typo. Whether you're restoring a first-gen '67 SS or trying to upgrade a modern sixth-gen, chances are they've got what you need. And here's the kicker-90% of their stocked parts ship within 24 hours. In an industry where "6-8 weeks" is the standard response, that's practically miraculous.

But let's talk about what really sets them apart. The parts they offer have been exhaustively researched so you can make your Camaro factory original, factory correct, or better than new with upgraded performance parts. Notice how they mention "exhaustively researched"? That matters more than you might think. Anyone can slap together a catalog of generic parts, but Rick's actually cares about authenticity and fitment.

Members get access to their exclusive 365-day risk-free return policy. A full year to decide if you're happy with your purchase. Most places give you 30 days if you're lucky. Plus, they offer free technical assistance from experienced technicians. Ever tried calling a parts supplier with a technical question and actually gotten someone who knows what they're talking about? It's rarer than you'd expect.

The company operates out of Titusville, Florida, from their facility at 7980 Grissom Pkwy, and they've been in business since 1989. They were acquired by Eckler's in 2007, which actually turned out to be a good thing-it gave them access to even more resources and inventory.

Now, I'll be straight with you-they're not perfect. Some customers have reported issues with backorders and customer service, and prices have increased about 15% across the board recently. But honestly? Show me a specialty parts supplier that doesn't have occasional hiccups, especially in today's supply chain environment.

What I find interesting is their approach to different restoration philosophies. Whether you're doing a numbers-matching restoration or building a daily driver or pro-touring setup, they've got you covered. That flexibility is huge because not everyone wants to spend $50K on a concours restoration-sometimes you just want your Camaro to run and look good.

The bottom line? Rick's Camaros has earned their reputation through decades of actually serving the Camaro community. They're not just selling parts; they're helping people bring their automotive dreams to life. And in a hobby where passion often outweighs practicality, that kind of expertise and support is worth its weight in chrome.
