The year 1984 was a musical milestone. MTV went nationwide, sparking an evolution of artists using music videos to explore their identity and expression. Artists like Run-D.M.C. and LL COOL J brought the golden age of hip hop out of its NYC confines and took the culture coast-to-coast. Plus, superstars like Prince, Van Halen, Bruce Springsteen, Tina Turner, and Madonna all released masterworks.

Celebrate the groundbreaking women who have shaped music with our exhibit Revolutionary Women in Music: Left of Center. This exhibit examines the work of courageous, rebellious musicians, from the 1970s to today, who use songwriting, music, and performance to subvert societal norms.

These musicians have challenged traditional gender roles; created inclusive, supportive communities that are respectful of women’s diverse experiences, identities, knowledge, and strengths; and empowered women to realize and embrace their authentic selves. 
 

The 2024 Inductee exhibit, brought to you by Donna Croel, is open on Level 3. This exhibit celebrates this year's class and their impact on music history by showcasing many iconic items that span the careers of these legends.

Within the Hall of Fame Gallery, presented by Key Bank, fans can also enjoy each Inductee's signature, a video of their career-defining moments, and a playlist of their essential songs.
 

Celebrating the band's 40-plus-year career, from their blue-collar roots as hard-working New Jersey musicians to global superstardom, Bon Jovi Forever uses artifacts, images, audio, and video to tell the story of the work, the art, the business, and the legacy of one of the biggest bands of all time.
