With free attractions, scenic walks, and Downtown Thursdays bringing live music, food specials, and free parking to downtown every Thursday night, summer fun is easier than ever.

Whether you’re spending the whole weekend downtown or just looking for an easy summer day, here are a few free ways to explore:

🌊 Walk All Three Sections of the River 
Downtown, Museum Reach, and Mission Reach each bring a unique experience. Plus, the River Walk is up to 10° cooler than street level!

🎨 Find Art Everywhere 
Public art along Museum Reach and free spots like Ruby City make an easy DIY art crawl.

🛍️ Explore Historic La Villita 
Colorful courtyards, local galleries, and one of the prettiest little corners of downtown. 

✨ Catch The Saga 
A free light show projected onto San Fernando Cathedral that narrates the history of San Antonio.

💦 Cool Off at Hemisfair 
Splash pads, wading pools, swings, shaded seating, and plenty of room to hang out between stops.

Cocktails, color, and Pride Month on the River Walk. Now through June 30, bars and restaurants along the River Walk are serving colorful cocktails and mocktails inspired by the Progress Pride Flag.
