Returns

What is the return window?
Mattresses come with a 365-night trial policy, while bedding, accessories, and bath items have a 100-night trial period that begins the day your new Silk & Snow goodies are delivered.

Are there any items that are non-returnable?
Products must be in donatable condition to be eligible for return (e.g., no stains, tears or other soiling including odors). If at least one of a particular product type is returned from an initial order, that customer will not be eligible for additional trial periods on subsequent orders of that particular product, and customers may only return a maximum of two of each particular product.

How will I receive my refund?
Refunds can only be made via the original form of payment and credit card. The time it will take for your financial statement to update will depend on your bank's processing times, however this should not take more than 14 business days, and you will receive an automatic email confirming the refund once issued.

How do I start a return online?
To ensure you are eligible for a return, browse through their "What is your return & exchange policy?" article, and they offer a return policy with each of their products. For mattresses, the refund is issued upon confirmation of the pick-up at your home, and if your mattress was recently picked-up, their team is actively working on confirming the removal with the pick-up partner within 48 business hours.

Editor's Take

So here's the thing about Silk & Snow-they're basically what happens when someone gets really, really obsessed with making the perfect mattress and then decides to build an entire brand around that obsession. And honestly? It kind of works.

The company offers carefully curated mattresses and bedding that are thoughtfully manufactured using high quality, traceable materials, but what's interesting is how they've managed to carve out this sweet spot between premium quality and actual affordability. All of their mattresses are made by local companies in Canada with decades of experience, which is pretty impressive when you consider how many bed-in-a-box companies just slap their logo on generic foam.

The whole "silk and snow" name thing is actually kind of clever. When thinking about names, they thought about premium quality and homey comfort-silk representing luxury and snow representing their North American roots with that undeniable sense of coziness. It's marketing, sure, but it's marketing that actually makes sense.

What really sets them apart is their trial periods. Their mattresses come with a 365-night trial policy, while bedding and accessories get a 100-night trial. That's basically a full year to decide if you like your mattress, which is either incredibly confident or slightly insane-probably both.

Their mattresses are locally-made in Toronto by experienced Canadian craftsmen using traceable, locally-sourced materials, and they've got this whole sustainability angle that feels genuine rather than just trendy. They partner with manufacturers that promote eco-conscious manufacturing, promoting the health of customers and the planet.

The company's been growing pretty steadily too. Silk & Snow has entered into an agreement to be acquired by Sleep Country and has been named one of Canada's Top Growing Companies in 2022 by The Globe and Mail. That's the kind of recognition that suggests they're doing something right beyond just good marketing.

But here's what I find most interesting-they've managed to expand beyond just mattresses into this whole lifestyle brand thing without losing focus. They offer furniture collections and when you purchase mattresses, bedding, bath, or furniture with them, it's been made with the care your home deserves. It's that attention to the complete sleep experience that makes them more than just another mattress company.
