Editor's Take

So you're curious about Solstice Sunglasses? Smart move-this isn't your typical mall kiosk operation. Think of it as the luxury department store of eyewear, but with way better curation and none of that overwhelming "where do I even start" feeling.

Here's the thing about Solstice: they've basically cornered the market on being first. Like, genuinely first. They're often the initial U.S. retailer to get those coveted drops from brands like Tom Ford, Dior, and Prada-the kind of frames that make people do double-takes on the street. And we're talking about serious luxury here, not just designer-adjacent stuff.

The company's been around since 2002, starting with just six locations and now operating 45+ stores across the country. That's pretty impressive growth, especially considering they went through Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2021 and came out stronger. Sometimes a good shake-up is exactly what a company needs.

What sets them apart is their approach to service. You know how most sunglass shopping feels like you're bothering someone? Not here. Their staff actually knows their products inside and out-probably because they're dealing with $300-800 sunglasses, not $30 gas station specials. They offer professional fittings, comprehensive warranties, and even a trade-in program where you can get $50 credit toward new frames.

The brand selection is honestly ridiculous. We're talking Gucci, Fendi, Victoria Beckham, Celine, Ray-Ban, Maui Jim-basically every name that matters in eyewear. Plus newer brands like Rag & Bone that are making waves. It's like having a personal shopper who happens to have access to every luxury sunglass brand on the planet.
