Returns

What is the return window?
SVS offers a 45-day, hassle free, in-home audition with every purchase. If for any reason you would like to return your SVS product, please contact SVS Customer Service within the 45-day audition period to arrange for a hassle-free return.

Do I need a receipt to return an item?
While SVS doesn't explicitly state receipt requirements in their return policy, all they ask is that the SVS product be returned in like-new condition, and in the original packaging to ensure safe transit. Since purchases are tracked through their system, a traditional receipt may not be necessary for returns initiated through customer service.

Who pays for return shipping?
SVS will handle all of the paperwork, issue pre-paid return shipping labels and even arrange for pick-up in order to make the return easy and convenient, all at their cost. SVS will cover return shipping costs, so your SVS audition is 100% risk-free.

How will I receive my refund?
If you're not 100% happy, SVS will provide a full refund and pay for return shipping with no questions asked. The refund is processed to your original payment method.

How do I start a return online?
If you need to return your SVS product, please contact SVS Customer Service. SVS will generate a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) form, and they'll also generate a return shipping label. For ground shipments, you can either drop-off the SVS product at the shipping facility, or they can arrange for a pick-up at your home. For palletized freight shipments, they'll generate the required paperwork and arrange for a pick-up at your home.

Editor's Take

So here's the thing about SVS-they're kind of the audio world's best-kept secret that's not really a secret anymore. Founded in Youngstown, Ohio, this company builds speakers, subwoofers and audio accessories for music and home theater surround sound systems, but what makes them different is they've basically said "screw it" to the traditional high-end audio pricing model.

You know how most audiophile gear costs as much as a used car? SVS looked at that and decided to do something radical. They're often considered the best high-end audio gear for the money, redefining performance and value for people who care about great sound. And that's not just marketing speak-they've built a cult following among home theater enthusiasts who swear by their subwoofers.

The company's been around since 1998, but things really kicked into gear in 2011 when Specialty Technologies took over, with Gary Yacoubian stating they view SVS as a platform to see what is possible in the world of specialty high-performance audio. Since then, they've been on a tear, expanding their product lines and building what might be the most customer-friendly policies in consumer electronics.

Here's where it gets interesting. SVS offers a 45-day, hassle free, in-home audition with every purchase, giving you plenty of time to fully evaluate your new SVS product in the comfort of your own home. But wait-there's more. They'll handle all the paperwork, issue pre-paid return shipping labels and even arrange for pick-up, all at their cost, so your SVS audition is 100% risk-free. That's basically unheard of for products that can weigh 100+ pounds.

And the customer service stories? They're legendary. People talk about SVS support the way Apple fans used to talk about the Genius Bar in 2010. SVS engages customers worldwide through direct and retail sales channels and offers Sound Experts technical support via phone, web, social media, chat, email, in forums and wherever people want to connect. They'll literally help you optimize your entire home theater setup, not just their products.

The product lineup spans from their compact sealed subwoofers to massive ported beasts that can shake your neighbor's house three doors down. Their speakers range from bookshelf models to tower speakers that compete with brands costing three times as much. But it's really the subwoofers that made their name-audiophiles and home theater nuts consistently rank them among the best regardless of price.

What's cool is they're not trying to be boutique or exclusive. The SVS mission is to re-energize people's desire for awesome sound by bringing passion, fun and expertise back into the mix, with the team bound by a shared passion for creating world-class speakers, subwoofers and audio accessories, with no compromises. They want regular people to experience reference-quality audio without taking out a second mortgage.

The engineering happens in Ohio, manufacturing in China (they're transparent about this), and the whole operation is run by a team that genuinely seems to love what they do. They host "Audiophile Happy Hours" on social media, give away products, and actually engage with their community instead of just broadcasting marketing messages.

Bottom line? If you're looking to upgrade your home audio and don't want to feel like you're getting ripped off, SVS is worth checking out. Just be warned-once you hear what a proper subwoofer can do, there's no going back.
