The future of jazz is brighter than ever! Thanks to the generous support of CCAASE, Telluride Foundation, Raynier Institute and Foundation, Peter & Sharon Bell, Jack Kotz and Teddy Errico, the Telluride Society for Jazz presents an incredible lineup of artists for the 2025 Telluride Student All-Star Jazz Ensemble, a revolving group of young musicians who come together to showcase their passion and commitment to jazz music. Handpicked from a pool of aspiring artists, this ensemble represents the best of the best. These individuals demonstrate remarkable skill, creativity, and versatility in their performances. The group will perform around town the week leading up to the festival weekend, and are then rewarded with an opening performance on the Town Park stage.

This year’s lineup includes standout performances from world-class talent like Cimafunk, Balthvs, and more taking the stage at beloved local venues the Sheridan Opera House, The Alibi, and The Moon at O'Bannon's. Summer Heats Up In Telluride

This year’s headliners include the soulful, genre-defying saxophonist Kamasi Washington, the explosive New Orleans energy of Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, and the funk-forward grooves of Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe.

But that’s just the beginning. Prepare to be moved by Afro-Cuban sensation Cimafunk, groove to psychedelic funk with BALTHVS, and witness a rare live set from the all-star BTTRFLY Quintet. London’s Kokoroko brings Afrobeat flair, while Brass Queens, Parlor Greens, and Joslyn & The Sweet Compression add flavor from across the jazz spectrum.
