Editor's Take

So here's the thing about The Foggy Dog-it's basically what happens when someone gets fed up with ugly pet products and decides to do something about it. The founder literally couldn't find a decent dog bed, so she quit her day job and started buying fabric. Kind of a bold move, but it worked out.

What makes them different isn't just the Instagram-worthy aesthetic (though let's be honest, their stuff photographs beautifully). They handcraft almost all their products-bandanas, leashes, waste bag holders, and beds-right here in the USA. And not in some massive factory either. Their manufacturing partners are family-owned businesses where skilled craftspeople actually get paid fair wages.

The sustainability angle is pretty solid too. Their dog beds and toys are stuffed with 100% recycled fiber spun from plastic bottles that would otherwise end up in landfills. So your pup's new bed is basically made from old water bottles, which is kind of cool when you think about it.

But here's where it gets interesting-they're not just selling to pet parents directly. You can find their products at over 800 retailers including Anthropologie, White's Mercantile, and Nordstrom. That's serious retail presence for a company that started with one person buying fabric.

For every order, they donate 1 lb of food to shelter pups, which adds up when you consider they've provided over 500,000 pounds of food to rescue shelters since launch. That's a lot of kibble.

There's something appealing about a brand that obsesses over details. They literally search through hundreds of zipper colors to find the perfect hue. That level of attention to aesthetics is rare in the pet space, where function usually trumps form. The Foggy Dog figured out how to do both.
