Maca and Tariffs
Well, it could be worse. The highest quality and most effective maca roots are grown in the high Andes of Peru and The Maca Team has always sourced our products from farmers in this region.
Recently the U.S. government applied reciprocal tariffs to all products from Peru. Since Peru charges 10% for U.S. products, the U.S. is now charging 10% to products from Peru. Going forward, the maca we bring into the U.S. will be subject to this charge.
We always do our best to keep prices fair (no increase in almost 2 years!). But once we start getting new stock from our farmers after this year's harvest (beginning in late June/July) we will likely need to increase prices slightly for those new products coming in.
For that reason, you may want to stock up on your favorites before July if possible. Thank you in advance for understanding.
