Returns

What is the return window?
If you have simply changed your mind about any item ordered and you wish to return it, then in line with the Distance Selling Regulations (DSR), you can do so provided you inform us of your decision within 14 working days of receipt. Once you've informed us that you wish to return goods under the DSR, you have 28 calendar days to do so, at your own expense.

Are there any items that are non-returnable?
The item must not be used and must be 'as new' and in a resalable condition when returned to us. Items should be returned in their original packaging, complete with all accessories and documentation.

How will I receive my refund?
Once the item is received and processed, we'll issue a full refund for the product received. Please get in touch via our support portal where our friendly support team will provide return instructions.

What if I received a damaged or incorrect item?
If any items were damaged in transit, we ask that you report it to us within 14 working days. If the items are visibly damaged on receipt, it's best to sign the carrier's delivery note accordingly and if possible, take a picture of the delivered package.

How do I start a return online?
Please open a support ticket using the link at the top-right of the page and let us know your order number, what you'd like to return and why.

Editor's Take

So here's the thing about The Pi Hut-it's basically become the go-to spot for anyone who's even remotely curious about Raspberry Pi. Started way back in 2012 selling pre-imaged SD cards, then moved on to cases and WiFi adapters, and gradually their product listings grew bigger and bigger until they became what they are today-the #1 store for Raspberry Pi accessories, HATs, add-ons, cases, cables, SD cards and so much more.

What makes them kind of special is they're not just some random reseller. They're an Official Raspberry Pi reseller, which matters more than you'd think. And they've got this massive range-over 8,000 products-covering everything from the latest Raspberry Pi 5 and Pi 500 to micro:bit, Arduino, and maker accessories. They stock top brands like Raspberry Pi, Arduino, micro:bit, Adafruit, SparkFun, Waveshare, M5Stack, Pololu, Argon40, DFRobot, HiFiBerry and many more.

But here's what really stands out: they keep prices LOW to help make learning to code accessible to as many people as possible. That's not just marketing speak-it's kind of their whole philosophy. They're trying to democratize tech education, which is pretty cool when you think about it.

The company operates out of Haverhill, Suffolk in the UK, and they've built up quite the reputation. They've got 163,000+ reviews from happy customers across the world, which is honestly impressive. Their shipping game is strong too-if your order is placed before 2pm (UK Time) Monday-Friday, they'll do their very best to ensure that it is shipped out to you on the same day, with next-day delivery options available.

One thing that's a bit different about them: they don't do phone support. They're a small company with a limited number of support staff, and their ticket system is much more efficient than a telephone-based service meaning they can help you with your query much faster (and no waiting on hold!), with 99% of queries answered the same day during normal times. Everything goes through their support portal at support.thepihut.com.

They've also got this neat thing going with Maker Advent Calendars-basically fun project kits that include a Raspberry Pi Pico and everything you need to follow along with 12 days of coding projects. It's the kind of thing that makes learning electronics feel less intimidating and more like, well, fun.

Notice how they've positioned themselves as more than just a store? They're creating a whole ecosystem for makers and tinkerers. Whether you're a complete beginner looking for a starter kit or an experienced maker hunting for specific components, they've basically got you covered. And with their tutorials section and active community engagement, they're not just selling products-they're helping people actually use them.
