Returns

What is the return window?
Thuma offers a return policy of 100-days risk-free for a full refund on larger pieces like bed frames and nightstands. PillowBoard covers come with a 14-day return policy and other accessories are all listed as final sale.

Do I need a receipt to return an item?
Please maintain a copy of your receipt for proof of purchase. The product must be purchased directly from Thuma.

Are there any items that are non-returnable?
Other accessories are all listed as final sale. However, the company still asks that you wait 30 days to make a return since it does take time for your body to adjust to a new bed frame.

How will I receive my refund?
Once it is received by the shipping and scanned in their system, Thuma will process a full refund. We have offered both the option to receive any necessary replacement pieces at no cost, as well as a return for a full refund within your 100 Day Trial.

Who pays for return shipping?
They just ask that you keep the original boxes to pack it back in and they will send pre-paid shipping labels. If you decide to return it during the trial, you can contact the company to initiate a free return. One thing to keep in mind is that although you don't have to keep the original boxes, it helps to have them in case you wish to return the frame.

Editor's Take

So here's the thing about Thuma-it's basically what happens when someone finally decides to fix the furniture industry's biggest annoyance. You know that feeling when you buy a bed frame and it arrives with 47 screws, three Allen wrenches, and instructions that look like they were translated by a confused robot? Yeah, Thuma said "nope" to all that.

Based in San Francisco, Thuma creates elevated home essentials guided by timeless minimalism and grounded in expert craftsmanship. But what really sets them apart is this Japanese joinery technique they use-basically, the pieces just click together like a really expensive, really beautiful puzzle. Thuma utilizes an age-old construction technique called Japanese Joinery that makes this frame easy to assemble and disassemble. You don't need any tools, and I found the process to be quite fun.

The company started with one product-literally called "The Bed"-and it kind of broke the internet. Simply known as "The Bed," this sleek, eco-friendly, and easy-to-assemble bed frame from Thuma set Instagram algorithms ablaze. And honestly, when you see it, you get why. It's got that minimalist aesthetic that somehow works in a studio apartment or a sprawling suburban bedroom.

What's interesting is how they've expanded beyond just beds. Thuma's high quality bedroom furniture is expertly crafted from 100% upcycled rubberwood, chosen for its proven longevity and durability. Backed by a lifetime warranty, the Bedroom Collection enhances any space with timeless aesthetics and modern functionality. They've got nightstands, dressers, even coffee tables now-all with that same tool-free assembly philosophy.

The sustainability angle isn't just marketing fluff either. Finally, Thuma also works with One Tree Planted, an organization that plants three trees for every Thuma bed frame sold. Plus, everything's made from upcycled materials, which is pretty cool when you think about how much furniture ends up in landfills.

Now, let's talk price-because yeah, it's not cheap. At $1,095 for a queen-size frame, it is an investment but if you want something that will last a lifetime and can be set up and taken down with ease, this is the bed you have been waiting for. But here's the thing: they offer a 100-day trial, which is basically unheard of for furniture. The company offers a 100-night trial for sleepers to test the Thuma bed frame. If you decide to return it during the trial, you can contact the company to initiate a free return.

They've also got physical stores now-one in SoHo and another coming to San Francisco. Discover Thuma's curated collection in person at 99 Wooster Street. Which is smart, because sometimes you just need to touch the wood and see how solid it feels.

The whole brand feels very... intentional. Like someone actually thought about what people need instead of just churning out another generic furniture line. Whether that's worth the premium price tag depends on how much you value good sleep and hate assembling furniture with tiny screws at midnight.
