Editor's Take

So here's the thing about Traeger-they basically invented the whole wood pellet grill game back in 1987, and honestly? They're still crushing it. Traeger invented the original wood-fired grill over 30 years ago in Mt. Angel, Oregon, and continues to lead the industry as the world's #1 selling wood-fired grill.

What makes these grills kind of genius is their "set it and forget it" approach. Just pick the temperature you want to cook at and let your Traeger do the rest. Traeger grills feature simple, oven-like controls that make wood-fired cooking easy. And we're talking about serious versatility here-with the ability to grill, smoke, bake, roast, braise, & BBQ all on one grill, there's no limit to what you can cook. From slow-smoked brisket to baked blueberry pie, Traeger grills can truly do it all.

The wood pellet fuel system is where things get interesting. Their premium wood pellets are made from 100% natural, food-grade hardwood. Traeger pure wood pellets grant the perfect burn for optimal wood fired flavor. Made in the USA and overseen from sawmill to shelf, they provide the cleanest, healthiest fuel source available. It's basically like having a professional smoker that runs on autopilot.

But here's what really sets them apart-the community aspect. The Traegerhood makes us truly different. When your community members love and trust you, they're your best evangelists. Traeger boasts the largest social media following of any other grilling brand, including 1.6 million followers on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

The newer models come with WiFi connectivity, so you can literally monitor your brisket from the couch. With WiFIRE® connectivity, you can monitor and adjust the cook remotely. WiFIRE® technology lets you command your grill and monitor your food from anywhere. Pretty wild when you think about it-your grandparents' backyard BBQ setup probably didn't include smartphone alerts.

And look, the price point isn't exactly budget-friendly, but when you consider you're getting a grill, smoker, oven, and roaster all in one package that practically runs itself, it starts making sense. Plus, because of the consumable nature of the wood pellets used to fire a Traeger grill, the company has built-in, recurring revenue from their sales. Some 22% of Traeger revenues last year came from sales of pellets and other consumables, like sauces and rubs.
