Editor's Take

So here's the thing about Twojeys - it's kind of the anti-establishment jewelry brand that Gen-Z didn't know they needed until it showed up. Founded in 2019 by two Barcelona guys, Joan Margarit and Biel Juste, the whole thing started because they couldn't find the jewelry they actually wanted to wear. Classic origin story, right? But what makes Twojeys different is how they've basically turned jewelry shopping into a lifestyle experience.

The brand's built around sterling silver pieces - rings, chains, bracelets, necklaces - all handcrafted in Barcelona with this distinctly unisex vibe. They're not trying to be your grandmother's jewelry store. Everything's got this edgy, slightly rebellious aesthetic inspired by Californian style and Route 66 culture (yeah, they literally took a road trip from Las Vegas to Palm Springs and came back with a brand concept). Prices sit in that sweet spot between accessible and quality - we're talking 45 to 125 euros for most pieces, which is pretty reasonable for handcrafted sterling silver.

But here's where it gets interesting. Twojeys has absolutely crushed it on social media, racking up over 609,000 Instagram followers by pushing this voyeuristic, community-focused content that feels more like hanging out with friends than shopping. They've driven multi-million-euro sales largely through engaging their online community, which is kind of impressive for a jewelry brand. And they're not just sitting pretty online - they've been aggressively expanding into physical retail with flagship stores popping up across Europe. Barcelona, Madrid, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Valencia, Sevilla - they're basically everywhere now.

The stores themselves are designed to be immersive experiences with custom furniture (including a cowboy hat-shaped sofa you can actually buy), metallic finishes, and even a "LAB" space in their flagship that hosts DJ sessions, tattoo artists, and live art events. It's less "come buy a necklace" and more "come hang out in our universe." They've also branched out from just jewelry into clothing and accessories, launching collections with vintage-washed hoodies and tees that have this deliberately distressed, one-of-a-kind look.

Now, full transparency - customer service seems to be their Achilles heel. If you dig into reviews, there's a recurring theme of slow or non-existent email responses, shipping delays, and frustration with returns. Some customers rave about the quality and design, while others complain about rings bending or pieces breaking within months. The warranty exists but apparently isn't always honored consistently. So it's a bit of a mixed bag on the reliability front.

What's undeniable though is their marketing savvy. They've collaborated with brands like Porsche and Zara, opened pop-ups across Europe, and created this whole "rebel journey" narrative that resonates with younger shoppers looking for jewelry that feels authentic and different. The pieces are designed to age and develop character over time - that vintage, lived-in aesthetic is intentional. Each item's supposed to be unique, which is either a feature or a bug depending on your perspective.

The brand's mission is pretty straightforward: disrupt the jewelry industry and be the go-to for people (especially men) seeking quality jewelry with unique designs. And honestly? They've made serious headway. From a 2019 startup to a million-selling enterprise with stores across multiple countries in just a few years is no small feat. Whether they can maintain that momentum while fixing their customer service issues remains to be seen, but for now, they're definitely making waves in the accessible luxury jewelry space.
