'Caps acquire Senegalese international forward Cheikh Sabaly
Vancouver Whitecaps FC have acquired Africa Cup of Nations winner Cheikh Sabaly from French Ligue 1 side FC Metz. Sabaly has signed a contract through the 2028-29 MLS season, with a club option for 2029-30.
The 2026 campaign kicks off on Wednesday, February 18 in Costa Rica, with the second leg coming right after the Home Opener. Join us at BC Place on Wednesday, February 25 at 6 p.m. as the ’Caps take on C.S. Cartaginés in the return leg.
