100 YEARS OF VERMONT STATE PARKS

 
In 2024, Vermont State Parks celebrates a century of family firsts, big adventure, and memorable moments. Statewide, 55 parks make up a legacy of conservation and stewardship in Vermont, creating a haven for families and outdoor recreators to enjoy scenic landscapes and history while protecting and preserving them for future generations. Share your parks memories and read others’ and get out there this year – Vermont State Parks are for everyone.

VERMONT DAYS 

Vermont Days are June 8-9, 2024. This annual weekend event celebrates the arrival of summer with free admission to Vermont State Parks and state-owned historic sites. Interested in fishing? On June 8, you can fish in Vermont without a license. Vermont Days is all free for both Vermonters and non-residents.

SPOTLIGHT ON VERMONT’S STATE PARKS

 
In Vermont, you’re rarely more than a half-hour drive from a state park, making visiting several in one trip easy and fun. The parks network is robust, with 2,225 campsites, 605 lean-tos, 51 cabins, 29 beaches, 38 picnic areas, a swimming pool, and a year-round lodge hidden deep in a 27,000-acre forest.
