Vermont’s largest single-day sporting event, the Sunday marathon is preceded by a sports and fitness expo on Saturday and by mini-marathons for young athletes ages 4 to 14. Celebrate with a festival after the marathon.
Camp Meade’s Community Concerts on the Green bring people of all ages together for free live music from celebrated local performers every Friday and Sunday. Wood-fired pizza, art activities, creemees, and more round out the event.
“The Jungle Book” author Rudyard Kipling’s Vermont home welcomes visitors for self-guided tours for just one weekend. Visitors have open access to the three buildings and the grounds of this historic landmark, including the spectacular football-field-length rhododendron tunnel.
