Summer in Vermont is a season of seemingly limitless possibilities, where long, warm days invite you to explore the great outdoors. Whether you're hiking through lush forests, kayaking on pristine lakes, or cycling along scenic byways, Vermont’s landscapes are summer playgrounds. Embrace the thrill of mountain biking, the tranquility of fishing in crystal-clear streams, or the simple pleasure of a family picnic in a Vermont State Park. VERMONT’S 272-MILE LONG TRAIL

 
Located on ancestral Abenaki land and stewarded by the Green Mountain Club, the Long Trail is the oldest long-distance hiking trail in the U.S. Watch as these 20 teams of hikers pass a flag in a relay along the trail; go along on their journey and learn about the trail that forms the backbone of Vermont.
