Welcome, May! Weather wise, April can be a bit of a tease in Northeastern Pennsylvania. On any given day, it could be 75 degrees or 30 degrees. But once May rolls in, we know we’ve really turned the corner and are set for straight months of warm days. And what better way to celebrate that than with the 69thannual Fine Arts Fiesta, which will take place on Wilkes-Barre’s Public Square on May 15, 16, 17, and 18. The fiesta features fantastic displays of wonderful art, great food vendors, and plenty of live, eclectic music. Headlining this year’s big Saturday night show is The Badlees. One of the most prolific, accomplished and most celebrated bands to ever launch out of Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania, The Badlees are members of both the Luzerne County Arts & Entertainment Hall of Fame and the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame. The band has scored national hits, shared the stage with acts such as Robert Plant/Jimmy Page, The Allman Brothers and Bob Seger and yet has always remained true to its Pennsylvania roots. |
